세계청년리더총연맹(WFPL, WORLD FEDERATION OF POWER LEADERS, 이하 세계총연맹)은 지난 2007년 1월11일 설립된 '국제청소년연구원(구. 국제청소년연구소, 초대 대표 이산하<李山河>)'을 모태로 한 정치적 중립기구로써, 세계총연맹 부설 언론기관인 사단법인 세계언론협회(WPA, WORLD PRESS ASSOCIATION)와 전국 17개 광역시•도 지부연맹 및 세계 각 국가의 지부연맹을 통해서 열정을 가진 청년인재들과 함께 사회의 구조적 모순에서 일어나는 위기상황을 해결해 나가는데 기여함은 물론 세계 각국 간의 교류와 협력을 통해 사회적 약자가 소외 받지 않고 참여와 소통의 문화가 확산돼 ’더불어 함께하는 세상'을 열어 가는데 가치를 둔다.

WIC AWARDS는 세계 각 분야에서 인류사회 발전과 공공가치 실현에 기여한 우수한 개인 및 기관을 발굴하여 국제사회에 소개하고 공유하기 위하여 다음과 같은 9개 시상부문으로 운영되었다. The WIC Awards consisted of nine award categories established to identify, recognize, and introduce outstanding individuals and organizations whose achievements contributed to the advancement of humanity and the realization of public value.
1. 세계평화부문
WIC AWARDS in World Peace
세계평화부문의 'WIC 세계평화상(WIC AWARDS in World Peace)'은 세계평화 증진과 인류의 화합, 갈등 해소 및 공동번영에 기여한 개인 또는 기관에게 수여하는 상이다. 국가와 지역을 넘어 평화문화 확산과 국제협력, 상생과 공존의 가치 실현에 기여한 우수사례를 발굴하여 국제사회와 공유하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. The 'WIC AWARDS in World Peace' honored individuals or organizations that made outstanding contributions to world peace, reconciliation, international cooperation, and the harmonious development of humanity. Its purpose was to identify and share exemplary achievements that promoted a culture of peace, peaceful coexistence, and shared prosperity across the international community.

세계인권부문의 'WIC 인권상(WIC AWARDS in Human Rights)'은 인간의 존엄성과 보편적 인권 증진에 기여한 개인 또는 기관에게 수여하는 상이다. 아동, 여성, 장애인, 노동자, 난민 등 다양한 분야에서 인권 보호와 평등사회 구현에 기여한 우수사례를 국제사회와 공유하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. The 'WIC AWARDS in Environment' honored individuals or organizations that made significant contributions to environmental protection and sustainable development. It sought to introduce exemplary achievements in climate action, ecological conservation, resource sustainability, and environmental stewardship.
